Thousands joined the Immortal Regiment march in New York City on Saturday, May 5, to commemorate the fallen soldiers and victims of World War Two & to stress the importance of US-USSR WWII alliance.

The Immortal Regiment procession sees people carrying flowers and portraits of loved-ones or war veterans. The NYC procession took place on the 73rd anniversary of Victory Day, which marks the end of World War Two, known in Russia as the Great Patriotic War. After marching through Manhattan, participants attended a ceremony at the World War Two Memorial in Battery Park.
